‘A Time to Heal’ Meditation Series

This 4-Part Meditation Series features Wellness Program Director, Board Member, and Certified Yoga Instructor, Zack Ferguson.

After completing each meditation, take small moments of time throughout your day to reflect. This could be things you noticed throughout your day, blessings you experienced, healing you felt, shifts in your attitude and mindfulness. Give yourself the time and space to just be. We hope you enjoy this 4-Part Series.

Part 1: The Heart

Centering Thought: My heart has the ability to heal.

Reflection: What things, activities, and/or passions could you start incorporating into your day to positively fill the cup within your heart?

When the cup within your heart is running empty, how will filling it with negativity affect your thoughts, words, and actions?

How would pouring joy, peace, love, patience, and forgiveness make a difference in your world when you become anxious or stressed?

Part 2: The Mind

Centering Thought: My mind has the ability to heal.

Reflection: Do you consider yourself a “multitasker”? If so, do you wear this label as a badge of honor? How does it make you feel that you and your brain were never designed to operate in this way and be everything to everyone all at once? As the “train conductor” of our mind, we have the ability to pull the emergency break, slow things down, and calmly begin to release the worry and heal the mind. Through stillness, quiet moments, and deep breaths. Describe what life would look like if you made the decision to find quiet, peace, and breath daily.

Part 3: The Body

Centering Thought: My body has the ability to heal.

Reflection: How does it make you feel when you see your body as a vessel, carrying your heart and mind, and a blessing entrusted to you? What healthy steps can you take this week when it comes to sleep/rest, nutrition/hydration, movement, and fresh air/sunlight? What does your balance between movement and rest currently look like? Slowing down allows us to see the smaller blessings in our lives. How would your life look a little sweeter after rest?

Part 4: The Soul

Centering Thought: My soul has the ability to heal.

Reflection: How does it make you feel when you consider your soul was never designed to be carrying all of the burdens you currently hold? What would your life look and feel like if you unpacked that baggage, set it off to the side and allowed God to carry it for you? What does your balance between trying to control life and contribute to life look like at this moment in time? In what ways would you and your soul flourish if you let go of control and began focusing on contributing to your situation and world?
