NOTE: Host will set specfic arrival time, providing ample time for you to arrive, settle in, and meet your fellow BRAVE Hope: Local 2024 moms at your specific location. Female supporters, friends or family members, are welcome to register and attend along with you should their presence be of comfort to you.
Supplies for the day along with some BRAVE pampering swag and gift items from our sponsors will be sent to your host to distribute on Saturday, May 4.
We are so excited to offer host sites this year for our 5th Annual Bereaved Mother’s Conference and for you to experience it all alongside some pretty amazing & BRAVE women like you! No, none of us chose to have to be this BRAVE. Yet, we certainly are!

Hi there! My name is Ashley Degen and I live in eastern North Carolina. I have been married to my husband, Justin, for 13 years and we have four babies, two here on Earth and two in heaven. My first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage at 8 weeks in the fall 2011. I became pregnant shortly after with my daughter who was born in the summer of 2012 and then we had our son in the fall of 2014. We had to deliver our second son in August of 2017 at 25 weeks due to intrauterine growth restriction. He weighed less than 1lb and spent 115 days in the NICU before he came home. We had Colton with us until May 25, 2019 when after battling respiratory illnesses for months that put him in and out of the PICU his little body could no longer fight. Throughout his entire short life, he was always smiling and always down for some snuggling. We fiercely miss him and his older sibling that we never got to meet.
I wanted to be a BRAVE Hope: Local host in order to give other loss mamas in my area a safe place where they can feel comfortable talking about their children, laughing about the good memories, and grieving in their own ways. The bereaved mother's club is one that I never fathomed I would be a part of, but I am so thankful for the tribe that I have found with other mamas.
